Why I buy domains
and why you should too...
There are a number of reasons why quality domains are holding their value, and even appreciating in the midst of economic turmoil. The most important reason, and the one recognized by industry professionals, is that the future of commerce, and the future of new media, is a future based on the internet. The web is the way forward.
Aftermarket domain names are not unlike a real estate market for future development projects. Quality domains will continue to sell for top dollar, much like desirable commercial property does -- parcels of land on highly trafficked streets, or buildings near the center of popular shopping districts, often get well above market prices.
Experts speculate that the internet is likely to double in both traffic and users over the next 5 years. A corollary to this growth will be more investors, and more demand, with increasingly fierce competition as new entries try to gain a foothold in the already crowded marketplace. Businesses will be scrambling to secure their brands, and paying top dollar to benefit from the traffic and credibility of premium keyword domains.
As a web entrepreneur, I have spent almost 10 years working on a portfolio of development projects. I strive to create new information applications, and to harness the point-to-point networking potential of the web. In the course of my research, and in preparation for these projects, I have collected a diverse portfolio of domains.
